Listed below are links to weblogs that reference Tobey Maguire: 'Hobbit' reports 'not accurate at all':

Nope! After that embarrassing strut down the street in Spidey 3 .... No visit to The Shire for you.

I like Tobey Maguire, but I don't think he'd be a good fit for Bilbo at all. It's bad enough that I'll have to suffer through Anthony Hopkins as he mumbles his way through Thor as Odin. Here's hoping this one stays a rumor...

^ are you insane, how does Anthony Hopkins become a bad casting? You wanted adam sadler?

Simon Pegg! :)

The best casting for Bilbo will be Sir Ian Holm of course. Who else?...

It seems like the first two comments didn't even read the article. You DO REALIZE he dispelled the rumor himself? No need to make it an excuse to take a jab at him.

Simon Pegg. Kenneth Branagh, even [there's enough resemblance there to Mr. Holm]. There's no crime in having a real British actor do this part, ya know.

I really didn't like Tobey at all until I saw the movie Brothers last week. He was just incredible.

Thats some pretty cool stuff when you think about it.

Hahahaha, this just makes me laugh.

COULDN'T there be SOME kind of "computer-generated" casting? -----THAT; would be PERFECT!(AND; the ONLY way 2 do Bilbo Baggins; character---JUSTICE! Elijah Wood; WAS laughable in the role!-------a HOBBIT fan!

chill out guys on hobbit, else madonna moves to lead
roll!!!!!!

kroon78, please buy a used 5th grade english and grammar book on Amazon and skim though it before posting here again. Your misuse of all caps and semicolons are making my eyes bleed.

It wasn't kroon78; it was Todd Friedman who murdered English and spat on its corpse.
